As Dominique Bauer pointed out in this forum thread, the Formulas question type is no more limited to Mathematics but is now used "in other sciences and in engineering where the problems to solve are more complex and considerably longer to solve. For these subjects, each part of a Formulas question actually represent a step in the solution, and each step by itself may be quite complex. Hence, each part should be as complete as possible, and it would be a great improvement to the Formulas question if each part could have the usual three feedbacks (correct, partially correct and incorrect) as well as a general feedback."

I think we should go with the more complete solution for each part

• the existing "feedback" field is to be considered as a "Part's general feedback" and displayed for all answers not just incorrect answers
• Add 3 new fields "Part's incorrect feedback", "Part's partially correct feedback" and 'Part correct feedback"
• Move the content of the current "feedbak" field to the new "Part's incorrect feedback"
• create the new fields during question import and course restore
• As it is already the case with the "Feedback" field, in order not to clutter the question editing page the new fields will only be displayed when you click on "Show more..."
