"User Field Text Box" filter option throws HTTP 500 Internal Server Error on selection

      When the user selects the "User Field Text Box" option when creating a filter in the COnfigurable Reports plugin, the browser goes to a blank page (<html><body></body></html>), with the browser console complaining about a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error after 150+ms.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Open Moodle Site, then navigate to blocks/configurable_reports/managereport.php
      2. Create a new SQL report, then click on the "Filters tab".
      3. From the dropdown box, select "User Field Text Box". The browser should take you to an empty page and throw the HTTP500 error in the browser console.


      Please note that this occurs in Moodle 3.1. An upgrade is not possible for us now or in the near future, due to other tertiary institution requirements.
