If you show the advanced editor and switch to HTML and then enter HTML, when you click on hide advanced editor, it gets rid of the code. It will leave regular text behind, though.
I will provide steps to replicate below:
1. click on "use advanced editor"
2. expand toolbar and use the HTML option.
3. I used the following to test
"<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Page Title</title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>My First Heading</h1>
<p>My first paragraph.</p>
</body>
</html>"
4. click hide advanced editor and the content disappears.
