Multiple grade items

Standard Moodle activities typically support one grade item per activity instance. One exception is the Workshop module which is used for peer review activities and accordingly supports two grade items, one for the submission and the other for the review.

Similar to the Workshop module the Dataform can also be used for applications such as peer review activity. As such it may need to support at least two grade items. We may want to consider a more generic approach than the Workshop's, and allow unlimited number of grade items in case some Dataform applications may need more than two items.

The feature supports the following:

• Admin setting to allow multiple grade items in an instance. By default the feature is not enabled. When not enabled, an instance can have the standard grade item that is set from the activity settings form.
• When the feature is enabled by admin, a link to managing the instance grade items is added to the activity administration navigation.
• The Grade items form allows adding one grade item and modifying all current grade items at a time.
• Adding the first grade item can be done either from the activity settings form or from the grade items form.
• When there are more than one grade item, updating the activity grade settings can be done only from the Grade items form (item 0). The activity settings form will display a link to the Grade items form.
• Each grade item must have a name and grade settings.
• Deleting an existing grade item can be done by clearing its name.

If there are grading areas for the instance the grade item form definition will display a select element to select a grading area.
