The Dates Report has a pull-down menu that lets you filter the list of dated activities shown on the report. This filter list is sorted by module type so that you can look at all Assignments or all Quizzes.

This is not a helpful way to organize the Dates report for teachers. As a teacher, if I want to adjust the dates of my activities I don't want to do that just for Assignments or just Quizzes. I want to adjust the dates of the activities that are grouped together and perhaps dependant on each other in the curriculum.

It would be far more helpful to have the filter list offer to filter by section of the course, rather than module type.

If there are less than 20 activities, you get an All option in the filter menu which would fill this need. But if there are more than 20 activities that All option is taken away. Many Moodle sites have many more than 20 activities, so this is not a reliable option.
