If I add an entry and fill out a text field, that has the field edit rule maximum number of characters set and the maximum is exceeded, the entry is not saved and the user is not informed why the entry was not saved. The user does not know where the problem is. That is a problem with entries, that have many fields, because guessing which field is responsible for not saving is difficult.
