New Norcia is monastic town and is home to an order of Benedictine monks. Its a cute little town. As the order originated in Spain its oddly Spanish looking despite being in country Australia.
Its about 1.5 hours out of Perth.

Theres a hotel there you can stay at if you want to spend the night. The hotel was apparently built following a rumor that the Spanish family would visit. They never did but now this tiny town has a ridiculously grand hotel. http://www.lifeonperth.com/newnorciahotel.jpg
