• I installed the game module from the Zip on a fairly new Moodle 2 install.
• I created a snakes and ladders game as a course creator.
• When I went to Save and display the activity I got the message "Sorry, you do not currently have permissions to do that (view)" (link, http://docs.moodle.org/en/error/moodle/nopermissions) - see the attachment.
• I tried commenting out line 24 of mod/game/view.php: require_capability('mod/game:view', $context);
• The game activity displayed OK, so I suggest that the permissions are not being created in the installer.
