If your organisation hosts its own YouTube/osTube.de like video/TV portal, then selecting video in osTube's repository, through a moodle Resource module would be a nice feature.

Video is increasingly used as evidence to assess and support learning so I've been thinking about video repositories that could be integrated with moodle in some way but also be accessed directly by examination boards & the public with out going through moodle.

This is only an idea. I couldn't find osTube mentioned in the moodle forums so have posted the idea here. With YouTube being owned by Google and the Summer of code 2009 there could be some synergy.

I have done no research beyond having the idea & it is unlikely i'll have time to develop a moodle module for this any time soon.

This could be a moodle filter rather than a module but developing an interface to select the video with in moodle and to set embed tags (size, loop, popup, sound...) for display on the course page would be good. An ostube like api/module could be extended to work within the lesson, workshop and creation of SCORM resources...
